THE PLAYER
Name: Vanille.
Age: 22.
Contact: BalladofQueenBee [AIM].
RPG Experience: Several years in general rp as well as journal communities specifically. :)

THE CHARACTER
FULL NAME: Ginevra Muriel Weasley.
BIRTHDAY: August 11th [Age Nineteen].
PLACE OF BIRTH: She was technically born in the Romanian city of Sibiu, and lived there until she was three while her parents were working. She was otherwise raised in Devon, England.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Homosexual. She is out to her entire family, after biting the bullet and blurting it out over Christmas dinner in her sixth year, but it's not something they really discuss. She is how she is, no sense trying to change her.
BLOOD STATUS: Pureblood.
THOUGHTS ON BLOOD PURITY/MUGGLES: Ginny comes from a background that is quite fond of muggles. She doesn't always understand them, but she's always been curious and they do interest her. She sees no reason at all to hate them or hurt them. Pureblood supremacy is rubbish in her most firm opinion. Muggleborns are as capable as any other witch or wizard, sometimes twice as much so in some cases.

HOUSE AND YEAR: Gryffindor alumni.
WAND: Whippy juniper, seven and a half inches long with a core of kraken heartstring.
BOGGART: Feeling the ground give away under her feet; falling into a bottomless pit. She loves flying, but hates the feeling of falling.
PATRONUS: Hungarian Horntail, a favorite dragon of she and her father.
CLASSES: Teaches flying lessons, referees Quidditch matches, etc.
POSITION: Flying instructor.

PERSONALITY:
Never one to be afraid to speak her mind, Ginny has always been very blunt and very forward. Growing up with her twin brothers picking on her and vice versa, she learned at a young age to just laugh things off and have fun, and not to get too caught up in the seriousness of a situation. She is quite motherly and a great leader. When it comes to mentoring others, she is an attentive teacher with lots of patience, and also quite responsible when she decides to be. Energetic and exciting, Ginny is rarely weepy or shy, and doesn't really mince words and has no time for slowing down. She's always on the go somewhere, and hates to be left bored.

Ginny has been pretty independent from a young age, and figures no one knows her better than herself. She knows what she wants, generally speaking, and doesn't pussy-foot around the subject. She can be rather forceful if she has to be, but she usually means well.

She's always done well at flying, even if some other members of the Weasley family try to outshine her on the pitch these days, and she will gladly help a student learn from the ground up if they need it. She doesn't mind explaining twice. Though she tries not to be, she can be a bit of a show-off in the sky, but she'll gladly teach you just how she does every move.

Funny and witty, she loves to cheer people up and make people laugh. She is quite an actress, doing comically accurate impressions of other people at the drop of a hat, and always hoping to make people chuckle, sometimes in spite of themselves. She is quite a cheerful girl, and loves to spread that cheer round. Amusing other people is one of her favorite activities, even now as an adult.

Though she tries to be honest and true, Ginny is very capable of closing herself up and telling very convincing lies. If she doesn't want to discuss something, she'll find a way around it. She's always been an animal lover, or rather a lover of any creature really, and much prefers to spend her time with them to people when she's feeling down rather than dragging others down with her problems.

Quick to jump for her wand when it comes to those who cross her, while Ginny can be your best friend she can also be your worst enemy if you end up on her bad side. She will stand up to pretty much anybody without hesitation. She is talented with hexes and jinxes, and often used to get detention for throwing them around a bit too freely in her school years. While she is quick to become tempered, she is also quick to get over it and her friends are usually able to talk her down before anything escalates beyond harsh words. She won't stand for anyone insulting her family or her friends.

Growing up with only brothers, and mostly male cousins, she toughened up easily even as the oldest. Her father taught her to never back down on what she knows is right, and she stands by that mentality.

STRENGTHS: Friendly, loyal, usually makes people laugh easily, patient instructor, detail oriented, knows loads about dragons, excellent at flying, plays a mean seeker, determined, dedicated, tries to be a good role model [mostly], hexes, holds liquor well, protective, doesn't get emotional easily.
WEAKNESSES: Stubborn, has moments of being rather vindictive, bad temper when provoked, can be quite pig-headed when she decides to be, loyal almost to a fault, gives people too many chances, hot-headed, can be a bit of a show off, easily distracted/sidetracked, and hates History of Magic.
LIKES: Flying, teaching, Quidditch, grass stains, the smell of freshly popped popcorn, dragons, her family, Quidditch matches in the rain, chocolate chip muffins, Hungarian horntails, soaring way above the pitch, clever girls, egg nog, fire whiskey, loud laughter, pranks and goofing off, the color red, the bat bogey hex, being the oldest, her father's approval.
DISLIKES: Falling off her broom, days that are stifling hot, burnt toast, pureblood supremacy, people who try to mess with her brothers/cousins, airheaded and fake girls, awkward silences, arrogant Slytherins, people who are mean to animals/creatures, people who use house elves, her mother pressuring her, school brooms, detentions [previously hated getting them but now she hates giving them].
PERSONAL GOALS: Ginny's biggest goal right now is to get through her first year of instructing unscathed. She was a Hogwarts student herself not long ago, and she knows the barrage a green staff member can take, especially from older kids. She wants to be a fun teacher that her students can actually relate to and want to learn from.

PARENTS: Charles Weasley & Aubrey Weasley [née Prewett].
THEIR RELATIONSHIP: Ginny has always felt like she was raised in an incredibly loving environment. Introduced through mutual friends, Charlie and Aubrey began dating at Hogwarts in their sixth year, and things from that point on have pretty much been solid. They have three children together, of which Ginny is the first and eldest. She gets along famously with her father, whom she loves to impress and whom is practically her favorite person in the world, but she loves her mother loads as well. Even if Aubrey seems to have an inkling of disappointment in Ginny's less than lady-like personality.

Aubrey was a Ravenclaw in her days at school, and has always seem more than a bit touchy about the fact that none of her children seem to take after her in that respect. She values knowledge, thinking things through, and determination above adventure and athletics. Still, regardless of not seeing eye to eye all of the time, they are a close knit family with a strong marriage at the head of every thing and no love lost for any of their children.
SIBLINGS: Fred & George Weasley [Younger Brothers; Identical Twins].
FAMILY DYNAMICS: Though the three of them might at times get on their mother's last nerve, Ginny took to her brothers almost immediately and is the ever present mother-hen to the two of them. She tries not to fuss over them too much as they get older, but she watches over them always even if she has to be more subtle as they all grow up.

Being a big sister fit her like a glove, and she was definitely glad to show the twins tricks to play on their parents and loved to teach them to embrace the rampant curiosity and rebellion they all harbor. A majority of her decision to come back and teach at Hogwarts was influenced by getting to spend time with Fred and George. Their family is quite happy, even if they aren't perfect . She loves her brothers just as much as she loves her folks.

Though her immediate family does not outright disapprove of her sexual preference, there are some more old-fashioned members of the Prewett and Weasley clans who do. They don't really see any reason to discuss their daughter's sexuality anymore than anyone else's, and her mother and father don't really give it a second thought. Ginny has never actually brought a girlfriend home to her parents, not because she's ashamed but because the idea of showing off to them about something like that just weirds her out a little.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
The only daughter born to a man that only wanted sons, Ginny surprisingly fit right in and has been like one of the boys in her family for as long as she can remember. She was never really favored or babied for being the only girl, but rather treated and encouraged just the same as her two younger brothers.

An adventurous, friendly, and popular Gryffindor boy, it wasn't hard for many people to see what Aubrey Prewett saw in Charlie Weasley on the surface, but the thoughtful Ravenclaw girl saw more.

Both Charlie and Aubrey loved to learn about dragons, of all things, though Charlie planned for a more hands-on career with them while Aubrey had intentions to opt for more of a general research position. She first noticed Charlie after overhearing him begging the librarian to let him borrow a book on dragons from the restricted section for just one second. She was smitten, and quickly asked one of her friends in Gryffindor to introduce them. The rest, as they say, is history. Ginny feels like she has heard the story of their star-crossed dragon loving romance a hundred times over.

Before they graduated together, Charlie was made Head Boy and captain of the Gryffindor house Quidditch team, where he played the seeker position. Aubrey was a Ravenclaw Prefect herself, from fifth year right through to her seventh year. Once school was through and graduation was over, they were engaged shortly after that. Just a few months after a quaint summer wedding in the Weasley family yard with Charlie's brother Septimus standing as best man, the both of them made the move to Romania to pursue their post-Hogwarts work.

They worked rather unsurprisingly as an excellent team, operating like a well oiled machine. While her husband did most of the actual training and interacting with the dragons, Aubrey compiled meticulous notes about discoveries, field data and findings that he made each day. They even published their first book together at this time, a book which is currently read at Hogwarts by students in advanced Care of Magical Creatures lessons. Work was good, and though Romania wasn't home, they got along. When they made the decision to start a family, they conceived Ginny on their first official try. They were overjoyed with their news.

Waiting nine agonizing months to meet what he expected to be his first born son, Charlie was anxious. Being a first time father, far away from England and his family, didn't help. Born on a stifling hot August day, Ginny sent her mother into labor just as she was writing the acknowledgments into she and her husband's first book. Aubrey was rushed to the hospital by a colleague, while Charlie arrived just barely in time to see his daughter come into the world. He was unsure at first of what to do with his little baby girl with her shock of bright redhair, he had his heart so set on raising a boy and they hadn't even discussed a name for a girl.

But it's a bit of a running joke in the Weasley clan that the awkwardness between father and daughter barely lasted a split second. Ginny practically left her mother in the dust and jumped right into her father's arms almost as soon as she was born. They've been incredibly close all of her life, even if she was kind of not what he expected. Though he was slow at learning, Charlie was an amazing father and taught Ginny everything he could. Especially about dragons, which she also adored from a young age, though he was careful to teach her caution for the beasts as well. Never a particularly fussy baby, Ginny was curious and quick-witted and kept the new parents on their toes none the less. She was following at Charlie's heels almost as soon as she could walk.

After Ginny was born, Charlie and Aubrey decided to stay in Romania at least until their current study period would end. Growing up around dragons was definitely an experience, even if Ginny can barely remember a thing about living in Romania at all now that she's grown. Aubrey made sure to keep Ginny busy and kept a watchful eye on her little girl, who only seemed to become more curious and daring as she grew. When Ginny was nearly four, and while Aubrey was just about half way through her second pregnancy, an incident occurred that made the move back to England happen almost immediately.

Turning her back for just a second to speak to someone, by the time that Aubrey turned back, Ginny had slipped away from her. She searched the entire research camp, looking everywhere, but no one had seen her. Beginning to panic, Aubrey's fear only tripled when she walked around the dragon stockades, finally finding Ginny there. Quite content as she was there sitting on her bottom right between two fully-grown Chinese Fireballs. She was able to get her daughter out without either of them getting hurt, or upsetting the dragons, but the fact that the two creatures had been feeling docile that day was merely luck. Aubrey was shaken.

When he returned home later that evening for dinner, Charlie was more or less told by his hysterical wife that the days of dragon chasing had to end. For her, at least. Seeing Ginny just sitting in that enclosure, even if the dragons thankfully hadn't hurt her, had gotten to her. The fact that her daughter had crawled in there all on her own without any fear had shown her that her child was getting too comfortable with living with dragons.

With another baby on the way, she just couldn't risk it. Children and dragons didn't mix. Finishing up what they had been in the midst of working on, Charlie moved back to Devon a short time later with his wife and daughter, choosing a small cottage style house on land not far from his own childhood home.

Their move came just in time for the birth of not only their first son, but also their second. Fred and George Weasley were born just a bit early, and though young Ginny was a bit jealous of them taking her parents attention at first, she eventually came round to love them firmly. She was the perfect age to begin learning to help out, and her mother loved showing her daughter little tips and tricks to taking care of her baby brothers. Aubrey loved to read to her children, though Ginny got easily bored with fairytales and the like. She always put in her vote for an adventure story, and once they were old enough to say so, the twins seemed inclined to agree.

When the twins became old enough to talk, of course, was also when things really began to change around the house. Mischief became present around every corner, with Ginny not helping by beginning to show her magic around the same age. While the boys and Ginny became older, Aubrey continued her writing career while Charlie began working for periods in Romania again on his own. Though he made frequent trips back to Devon. She missed her father but became accustomed to the fact that it was often just her mother, herself, and her brothers at home.

All of their free time at home before school, in fact, is when Ginny began to really teach the two of her brothers to really raise hell.

She loved taking care of her little brothers, but she loved teaching them even more than that. Plus they got a lot less cranky when she was teasing them instead of doting on them. Though their father had high expectations of all of his children, Charlie was still a bit mischievous himself, and Ginny knew plenty of pranks and jokes just from him alone. She taught Fred and George the humor in putting a spider in their mom's book, exploding toilet seats, and even took them on their first visit of Zonko's in the summer before she went away to her first year at Hogwarts.

When that time came, though her mother's nerves were glad to see her go, everyone in the family was a little sad. Ginny would miss spending days goofing off with her brother and younger cousins, she was the eldest and first to go, but she knew they'd all be along eventually. Charlie made sure to return from Romania to see her off at King's Cross with the rest of the family, and he jokingly warned her that if she didn't make Gryffindor Quidditch captain by her third year, he'd have to disown her.

Getting onto the train felt like a blur, and she rode most of the way by herself, uncharacteristically sniffling and sulking. It wasn't until the train became closer to Hogwarts, and everyone began to change into their robes, that Ginny actually let herself relax and be herself. She was excited for the road ahead, and she had every right to be. When she got to the Great Hall with the rest of the first years, there was no hesitation from the Sorting Hat, it cried out 'Gryffindor' practically before even touching her head.

Her years in Gryffindor turned out to be some of her best, and she never looked back from that first feast, when she shyly took up to a spot at the table among people who would all become her friends, but more like a family. Hot-headed and full of adventure and spunk, Ginny fit right into the stereotypical Gryffindor role. She was determined and focused, loyal to a fault, and every bit the red-and-gold blooded lion that her father had expected her to be. Life only improved at school as eventually her family began to join her, including Fred and George in her fifth year.

She never made Prefect or anything like her mother would have liked, but she did join the house Quidditch team in her second year as seeker. She played this position until graduation, though she also showed a soft spot for being a chaser, and was even captain in her seventh year. Charlie couldn't have been prouder, and life was all good and wonderful until graduation day actually came knocking.

Done with Hogwarts, Ginny didn't really know what to do. She decided to take a half of a year off to decide, and that quickly turned into a full year at the end of which, she still hadn't made up her mind. Charlie had, against Aubrey's protests, suggested that she come and work a term in Romania with him. There was a professional Quidditch team that had been interested in her, but she knew they wouldn't wait forever. There would be graduates in better shape coming out of school if she didn't hurry. Caught between those two choices, and unable to figure out what to do, what Ginny really wanted to do was just go back to Hogwarts and forget the stress. It was actually her mother's helpful input that inspired her to do just that.

While shopping with Fred and George for their school supplies, Aubrey had overheard snippets of a conversation in Flourish and Blotts about Hogwarts needing someone to fill the flying instructor position on their staff. Suggesting it to Ginny casually, Aubrey was pleasantly surprised when her daughter pulled out of her post-graduation laziness slump and immediately applied for, and received, the job just in time for the coming term.

Nervous to be returning to school as staff and not a student, Ginny keeps up her facade of over confidence and mostly hopes that everything will work out and go well and her former classmates won't give her too much hell. She wants to be a fun staff member, someone younger that the students can relate to more since she's only a couple of years older than the seventh years, even playing Quidditch with and against many of them in the not so long ago past.

It doesn't hurt either that if she's working at Hogwarts, she's closer by to her brothers and cousins, just in case any of them need her. Or she has to extract revenge on one of them or something.

APPEARANCE: Rather petite and pretty, Ginny may not look mighty, but mess with her once and you'll quickly learn your lesson. Standing at just about five feet and five inches tall, she isn't tall but she possesses the lithe and slender build of a girl who has spent a good chunk of life simply playing the game of Quidditch. She is quite built just from that alone. She is stronger than she looks, and really packs quite a punch. She is a tough cookie in a little wrapper.

Like the rest of the Weasley side of her family, her hair is a dark shade of red, and is long down just to past her shoulders and usually left hanging loose if she doesn't have it pulled back into a tight ponytail. When she flies, that is when her hair is almost always pulled back and slightly wind-whipped. When she gets mad, her face sometimes goes red enough to match her hair. Her eyes are bright brown, the same as her mother, and she also has several other similarities to her mom.

They have the same fair skin, and slightly round face with rosy cheeks and slim lips. She has a smattering of freckles over her shoulders, arms, etc, but none over her cheeks and face.

When not dressed for anything special or specific, or if not wandering around in Quidditch robes, Ginny prefers to dress casual. Being comfortable is her biggest concern, and she likes things like sweats and tee shirts, and rarely dresses up fancy unless it's an occasion. She wears very little make-up, figuring it'll just get smudged out on the pitch anyway.

THE ROLE
First person roleplaying sample:
Anybody that can manage to fly a broom half-way efficiently, I'm looking for you!

I had my first lesson with the first years today, and it was really dreadful at first a bit of a slow start. Only one minor injury though! Anyway, I've come up with a really grand idea, and I hope people are willing to lend a hand with it. I can teach the kids the basics, and some of them are really coming along and showing some talent, but there are definitely some who need more one-on-one instruction.

I've been trying to give as much of that as I can, but with a class my size and just myself, I feel like some of the quieter students are getting left in the dust! That being the case, I made a sign-up sheet for any of the kids who would like to learn extra bits on the weekends (since we know flying is a brilliant and invaluable skill to have that every witch and wizard should at least try to learn!), but now I need volunteers to help me out. I think the kids will do loads better with like, mentors of sorts to show them the ropes on top of my own instructing!

Right now, I've got myself and one other person but about fifteen students so far! Fifth years and up, I'm looking at you lot to lend a hand for at least a couple of hours! Come talk to me about it in my office I have an office, that's so weird! and if you're interested, we'll fix you right up with a wee one.

There might even be some points in it for the most helpful of all the houses! Cheers!

Third person roleplaying sample:
Boarding the annual train ride to Hogwarts was a little baffling for Ginny Weasley now, riding for the very first time as staff rather than a student. First of all, it had been two years since her last trip anywhere by train, let alone Hogwarts. Secondly, there was the distinct fact that it felt very strange not to not be adorned in the familiar shades of red and gold. Every student around her seemed like they were already changing into their robes and uniforms, and Ginny mostly felt a little out of place as she nosed around the compartments, looking for somewhere to even sit down.

She was trying to leave Fred and George to their own devices, where ever they were and whatever they were up to, it was none of her business now that she was teaching. Brothers or not, she would feign ignorance to their shenanigans as much as possible in the coming year. Her mother had warned her not to get tangled up in their trouble making and get fired or something, she was two years graduated and a grown up now after all. Her mother had taken every opportunity to drive that point home before Ginny left for the express.

Two years graduated wasn't as fun as it sounded though. Sure, she was an adult and the other students kind of sort of had to listen to her. But it also meant that almost all of her friends had graduated and moved on too, leaving her no where to fit in as the new teacher on the block. Her cousins probably didn't want her hanging over them the whole ride, and she still felt still too young and immature after her mother's lecture to feel comfortable sitting with the other staff, as if they might scoff at her inexperience or something. It left her in quite a predicament.

Sighing heavily, the red-haired young woman had been just about to give up, when she spotted the top of several familiar redheads in the carriage she had just passed. Well, whether they wanted her or not, she had at least found her cousins. And was that something smoldering that she could smell? Fred and George must have been in there was well. Deciding to give up on finding anywhere else, and feeling just a bit naked without her Gryffindor tie and robes, Ginny pushed the door open and raised her wand at her brothers in greeting.

"Put out the fire and nobody gets hurt! Literally!" she commanded them, half joking. If the twins burnt down half the train, she probably would get sacked pretty quick. It was probably best to show them a little teacher confidence.

Plot/ Ideas/Pairings/etc: I don't really have big plans for Ginny yet, mostly waiting to see who her students will be and how she fits in on staff. I would, naturally, love to see other Weasleys and Prewetts around so bring it on!!
